Birthday Cards

So we don't normally blog the birthday cards but this year I was faked out. First I was sent the following birthday card, I was left thinking, okay, that was really lame, it's for a brother and has a perfectly acceptable color for both envelope and card:

Then I got this happy thanksgiving card for a grandma with the note "I'll bet you thought that other card was the real one"

    You need to explain that there is an old family tradition (going back about 5 years)of Lansey brothers sending inappropriate and /or embarrassing birthday cards to each other. Their challenge is to start with a card that does not step over the fine line of really bad taste or crudeness, and then edit the original text creatively to suit the occasion. The result should be embarrassing to open in a public place, say a restaurant, but still be suitable for display in the family living room.

    Such you think, but "intersting", which I believe is a portmanteau of "interstate" and "nonreciprocating", exactly sums up my thoughts on this post.
