Too soon?

Last Friday I noticed this headline on my dad's myYahoo page:
Let's see suggestions in the comments for the subhead. My suggestion: "EZ Pass soon to be accepted at discounted rates."

    Yes, I do know that. However, they should have included the word "death" to avoid the unfortunate double-entendre.

    might I go out on a limb and suggest that the News People are cleverer than we make them out to be and say that I am nearly completely positive that this doubel entendre was intentional. Now it is a bit cheeky of them to be joking about these sorts of things though.
