This is a long-overdue post, but better late than never. Last summer I accidentally started a science experiment with my son. A few kidney beans fell into the dish-drying rack, and picked up enough water to start sprouting. So, we decided to plant the beans to see what happened. It turns out, when you plant kidney beans, you get kidney beans:

ReplyDeleteWe actually don't know what a few is, so we cannot say if the growth is exponential.
ReplyDeleteActually, I think we can say that it is exponential, but it may be exponentially shrinking depending on the output, as long as the # beans output is a constant percentage of the # planted ... 'Geometric' might be a better word to use here.
