How to NOT blow oneself up

We bought a used grill last summer and used it extensively.  It wasn't the best and didn't heat evenly, but it wasn't until I replaced the burner for this season that I realized just how lucky I am that I didn't explode:

    wow, big surprise it didn't heat evenly.
    shame an explosion never happened - but I guess its good that it doesn't happen with moshe around
