A blast from the past

I recently discovered an interesting vending machine in the CCNY library. But before I tell you about it, let me show you a modern vending machine:
This machine vends iPods and iPod accessories. It's super-fancy: It takes credit cards, has a touch screen, etc. Pretty cool.

Anyway, here is CCNY's (functioning!) vending machine:
But they are slowly picking up on new technologies. They're selling 256MB jump drives for around $60.

  1. Did you check to see if the computers in the library had any USB ports?
    Or, on the other extreme, did they even have floppy drives?

  2. That's nothing! I'm sure Rutgers has a machine that vends phonographs. We can outdo CUNY any day.

  3. at NJIT there is one that vends coke, which you then buy a few of and drink different amounts from and then you can play some music!
