Out of date playground equipment

I saw this at a playground in Teaneck:
I think they should replace this panel with up-to-date IAU planet classifications.

  1. I think they could use a little help with the scale too ...

  2. Altering it might be a bit premature. There is still a great deal of opposition to the IAU decision and it could yet be overturned; think how confused the children would be if the sign was changed, then changed back.

  3. I for one am GLAD that children will still grow up learning that Pluto is a Planet! I know it's childish, and super un-scientific, but that's how I want it to stay. So sue me. :P

  4. I don't understand. Whether Pluto is a planet, a comet or a stick of Brighton rock, it's there and the IAU isn't pretending that it isn't. Why shouldn't children know that it exists?
