Anaphylactic Reactions, Good or Bad?
Last week I was taught how to use an Epi-pen. The Middlesex County College head nurse instructed me and all the other camp counselors. I was not very impressed by the head nurse, however she did give me a great idea for a new weight loss program. According to the nurse an anaphylactic reaction would cause anorexia in its victim. So I would like to introduce you to my new extreme diet pill Anaphyl X-35 side effects may include impeding sense of doom, full body rash and in most cases death, but we will let marketing take care of that. PLEASE NOTE: HEAD NURSES SHOULD BE ABLE TO PRONOUNCE ANXIETY PROPERLY!

California
I am working with Avida. The video shows different species of "Avidians" evolving to be more "fit" and taking over the "world." Specifically I'm looking at patterns of extinction (dying organisms) and speciation (making new species).

This is where I work

This is the view from my window
(my actual room isn't so overwhelming so I'll leave out a picture of that)

This is the inside of one of the libraries

The rest of the pictures are of the College campuses in Claremont

You are here
I was messing around on Google Maps the other day, and decided to search for myself. (Not so) surprisingly, Google can find me:
Check it out.

Centennial Post
To start, I would like to point out the new blog banner. This post is, as the title would hint, the one-hundredth. Because this is a significant milestone for the Lansey Brothers blog it will pertain to all three of us. I am working at the Middlesex County College Karate camp, and as a Sempi (assistant karate instructor) at my karate school. Yoni is working on an artificial life project in California. Eli is working in particle physics at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Ah, now that I got that out of the way. The following pictures where not taken for the purpose of this blog. My brothers and me saw the opportunity to take these pictures and with the help of a handy time delay and tripod we had a photo shoot.

Abundance of Information
On the theme of blank information signs, there appears to be an overabundance of information available to summer NJIT students.

In other news, I'll be going to California this morning. I will be there for ten weeks working on Artificial Life.

This post has nothing to do with Canada
My family goes on a short trip to Canada, and that's all they can blog about for 2 weeks. Sheesh. It's not even like it's a real country or anything.
Anyway, I have begun my summer internship for the United States Dept. of Energy at Brookhaven National Laboratory in the middle of nowhere Upton, NY. I don't have much time to write at the moment, but my project is part of the PHENIX project at RHIC. More details and anecdotes will come in future blog posts.

Canadian Komet
While in Canada my family went to the Canadian airplane museum. They have a couple of planes that are the only ones of their kind still in existence. This particular plane was not one of these planes, however this one just happens to be a cool plane. It's the Messerschmitt Me-163 Komet. It's a rocket-powered plane, and it is a piece of junk, only 5% of Komets destroyed during the war where shot down by allied forces. Something like 65% crashed on takeoff and landing, 20% simply blew up, and 10% fell apart in midair (I am not certain about any of the numbers after the 5%). Just click here for pictures.

And don't forget to remove all excrement from pets
