Rutgers Football

I know that the name of this post is slightly misleading, as in sports? Well yes sports, Rutgers football team is 8-0 which means that they have won 8 games and lost none. This Thursday they are playing another 8-0 team. Rutgers only has 10000 tickets for students so they decided to give them out early. So starting at 8:00 this morning they where giving tickets. Some people camped out to get tickets others got on line at 1:00 am me I showed up at 9:00. I ended up waiting on line for 2 hours, which is an unusual thing for a Lansey to do to get into a sporting event. However I did and I got a ticket. It took forever to get the tickets at the beginning because the University was stupid and there was just a mob at the front, they finally organized it all. I discovered a really short line when I got my ticket and realized that if I had left to get tickets when I got home I probably would only have waited at most 15 minutes, but life is all in the experience. I once again apologize for the unusual topic of this post but I just got a ticket worth between $400-$1000 so tough on you.

Of course the listed seat number doesn't matter the seat I get is based upon what time I get to the stadium.

  2. I didn't know football was such a big deal in Rutgers, I mean normally American Football gets all the crowds.

  3. For one thing I don't want to get started with chaim, but according to the critics Rutgers is going to beat the Cardinals. For jonathan/yoni football is huge at rutgers this year because rutgers hasn't done this well since 1976. Also, Rutgers started intercollegiate football when they played the first every college footbal game, against Princton and won.

  4. Aryeh, Jonathan/Yoni is talking about that game played with the buckyball-shaped black and white object, which must be maneuvered across a pitch, without using the upper forelimbs, into a hockey net. It is also very big in Rutgers, but I believe Rutgers stinks at it.

  5. Ah mr. jonathon/yoni was acting european. But let me tell you Mr. jonathon/yoni just don't you go to a Manchester United game. Wise guy. Also, I believe that rutgers female "SOCCER" team is doing quite well. notelon I think you are confusing a buckyball with a pressurized truncated icosahedron.

  6. A buckyball is shaped like a truncated Icosadecahedron. Hence soccer ball are buckyball shaped.

  7. Aryeh, you were worried about the lack of math/science dorkiness in this post? I believe that any sort of icosahedron, let alone a truncated one, has never before been mentioned on this blog.

  10. What an awesome game! I listened to the whole thing on the radio. Of course, I had no clue as to what the sportscaster was blathering about, at least until my pi came home to translate for me, but – the screaming!!!! I didn’t even need the radio for that, at times I could hear it from here, and we are what, like 4 or 5 miles away??? I can’t believe this is me saying this, but I would have loved to have been there. The lump is so lucky!

  11. I too must eat my word. Even though the women's buckyball pushers seemed to lose more games than they won, they are goin to the championships. So if any of you actually cared deeply about them, and I offended when I said they stunk, I apologize.
