Gaudi and Barcelona

Oh . . . yeah, I actually went to Candyland, not Spain. (Look carefully way in the back and see the medetiranian). Anyway, this whole post is actually all about Barcelona in Spain.

This is me in a Gaudi building. Look up the dude, he's nuts- but in a cool way.

The hat and Umbrellas were chained down- hence the weird pose.

  1. Barcelona might look pretty, but beware of the Spanish Inquisition.

  3. Visit the Gaudi buildings. Seeing these amazing creations is a marvel, and most are fully accessible. The Modernista architecture tour is also fascinating: a great tour to take on your own and still get lots of information.
The first look at the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona
from the rooftop of Casa Mila. After having only seen it in books and on film, the actual view from the distance was amazing.

  4. Gaudi was an innovative leader of his generation. Some people say that he was a representative of the Nouveau movement, but for many he created a new style. His art challenged the norm and pattern with sensous and seductive curves. Some say that his love to nature was reflected on his monuments and constructions. His work went in harmony with the surroundings.I went to Barcelona in 2005.We stayed not in Barcelona hotels, but in a 2 bedroom flat in the Raval area, about 10 minutes walk from the Ramblas.I fell in love with Barcelona and it's beautiful architecture, there is so much to see and could have stayed for longer, however, you can get to see a lot in a day as it is not that big and is easy to get around.
